Motor Vehicles - Speed Monitoring Systems increases the civil penalty fees charged for speed monitoring system violations, specifically levying higher fees for those going at higher speeds (speed camera penalty sets in once you are going 12 miles per hour over the limit). The State Highway Administration must create a workgroup to study best practices regarding speed monitoring systems in school zones and submit its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 1, 2025.
