Robert H. Smith School of Business faculty member Sarah Wolek became District 16's newest member in the Maryland House of Delegates on April 3, after being appointed by Gov. Wes Moore to fill a vacancy. Wolek, who was one of 18 people who applied for the role, is the first Muslim woman in the state legislature.
